Since november 2009, I am working at the Ethics Centre of the University Zurich as a postdoctoral researcher on Military Medical Ethics. Since its establishment in 2014, I am leading the ZH Center for Military Medical Ethics.
The research in the center is focused on medical ethics in military and humanitarian contexts, e.g. war, conflict, and disasters.
Annual academic workshops are organized on topical issues in that field and results are published.
Annual summer schools invite military health care personnel from all over the world to initate them to (military) medical ethics.
The center and its research are financed by the Swiss Armed Forces' Medical Services Directorate (Centre of Competence for Military and Disaster Medicine) and organized in cooperation with the International Committee for Military Medicine (ICMM).
I am also Scientific Coordinator at ICMM Center of Reference for Education on International Humanitarian Law and Ethics and their Chief Ethics Teacher.
